Joe Medico, was a driver for JR Hudson Horse Transportation for over twenty years and he passed away in April, 2017. Joe always had a smile on his face and was the first to lend a helping hand. To commemorate his dedication to the NE horse world JR Hudson Horse Transportation is sponsoring two grants of $1,250 each. These grants will go to qualified NE Junior Medal riders who demonstrate a financial need in order to participate in the NEHC Championships.

Guidelines:

This grant provides financial assistance to two (2) NEHC Junior Medal qualifiers. A.) Entries and one stall. B.) Balance to cover horse transportation and other related expenses to compete in the NEHC Championships.
Riders who are qualified and will compete in the NEHC Championships must apply by September 1st.
After thorough review, the Joe Medico Grant Committee will award riders based upon the required essay which will be comprised of two parts. The first part of the essay will ask the applicant to state why the NE Equitation Championships is important to them. The second part will ask for a description of the applicant’s basis for financial need.
Riders who receive grant cannot apply in future years.
Grants will go to qualified and competing junior riders.
